Meet OWIT's 2010 Executive Committee

2010 Executive Committee members met for the first time as a group at OWIT’s Spring Board Meeting, hosted by our Washington, D.C. Chapter in April.

With the growth of our organization, our Executive Committee has gained new faces to complement the continuing work of experienced executives. “This year’s Executive Committee represents a terrific balance of experience and new talent,” says President Angela Marshall Hofmann. “The strength, diversity and global representation that our new members bring to an already talented Executive Committee will make for an outstanding 2010 and allow us to take OWIT to the next level.”

A warm welcome to the new Executive members including: Executive VP Karen Bland (2009 president of Hampton Roads), a leading contributor on our recent bylaw work; Assistant Treasurer Tamuna Gabilaia (Washington, D.C.) who recently led the development of a hallmark 2009 women’s economic empowerment program in Singapore; VP IT Grace Montealegre (Miami, FL) who managed all technical aspects of our very successful webinars launched earlier this year; VP Marketing Radhika Reddy (North-East Ohio), a past president and source of support for her chapter with 29 years of management experience in international business; VP Strategy Ana Guevara (Miami, FL), former US representative to the World Bank; and VP Partnerships Manda Shemirani (Hampton Roads) who has been previously involved in the identification of eligible development projects, working closely with NGOs and international organizations such as the United Nations.

Many thanks to Past President Ania Jakubowski (Geneva) for her efforts and accomplishments in the past year. “She successfully pushed in new bylaws and enabled growth for the organization by putting virtual membership and webinars in place, which really opened whole new opportunities for OWIT moving forward,” says Angela Marshall Hofmann.
