Highlights from the meeting included:

• Reaching a consensus on chapter operating principles, including dues payment, logo usage, a registered contact person with OWIT International, reasonable response time on emails, and a link to OWIT’s webpage.
• The sharing of best practices by the Geneva, Charleston, Northern California, Toronto, Miami, and Washington chapters.
• Setting sponsorship and fundraising goals.
• Discussions of potential 20th anniversary celebrations.
• Agreement to develop a global, virtual membership strategy/category
• Developing ideas to better use technology as an enabler, such as launching webinars and leveraging social networking, like  the OWIT Group on LinkedIn.
