How to start an OWIT Chapter
A Chapter is a subunit of OWIT that represents and fulfills the needs of the members in a specific geographical area. Chapters allow members to meet face-to-face and host events and participate in local projects. To see how many Chapters have joined OWIT around the globe, please click on the accompanying map.

How to Join a Chapter
Clicking on the accompanying map shows the OWIT chapters located around the world. Please select the chapter you'd like to join. When you click on the chapter location, you will be redirected to the registration page for membership for this local chapter.

Can’t find a local Chapter listed? Become a virtual member! Virtual membership is particularly designed for those who want to be involved in OWIT, but do not yet have a Chapter nearby.

Virtual membership benefits include:

• Ability to receive an OWIT International Login
• Provides access to job bank
• Provides ability to join LinkedIn group, and all other social mediums
• Access to International Newsletter
• Weekly networking tips
• Member of FITA, TIAW by extension
• Reduced rate at conferences
• Ability to attend any other OWIT meeting in the world, or event at member price (1 per Chapter)

The cost of a virtual membership is $50 USD. This does not provide you the same benefits as being a member of a local chapter, particularly in terms of the events and face to face networking opportunities, but it does provide an opportunity for those who might not yet have a local Chapter to still be connected with OWIT!
